Historical Details
The roundel is the gift of the late John Cameron Esq. It is part of a larger stained glass window, still located in St. John’s Church. Its arrived on the “Black Swan” on Wednesday the 15th August 1866 from the Ferguson & Urie workshop in Melbourne. The roundel is one of 3 quatrefoil-shaped lights that formed an apex in the trace archery over the main 3 light window which featured the ascension of Christ. The roundel is the omega, referred to in the Book of Revelation in the context of Jesus being the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.Materials
