Physical Description
A series of watercolour paintings depicting scenes from Bass Strait and the Furneaux Islands. Brownrigg has added captions to each painting.

Historical Details
Marcus Blake Brownrigg was rector of St. John's Church, Launceston from 1868 to 1887. He made 13 trips to minister to the people of the Furneaux Islands. These paintings were made on his 1876 voyage, apart from one featuring a lighthouse which is likely of the same period.
