During 1938, the historic 1824 nave was enlarged in height, and the north and south ambulatories were added. Several stained glass windows were commissioned and installed in time for the consecration of the nave in November 1938. This window was approved by diocesan faculty in 1956, and presumably installed at that time.It is assumed that in the 1950s, windows were still being created by Brookes Robinson & Co of Melbourne. The firm continued to create stained glass until 1963.
