Physical Description
Article by local historian P.G. Webb, apparently published in the papers of the Launceston Historical Society. This article was recovered from a low quality photocopy, likely obtained by the late Jenny Gill, and is not dated. Webb's list of references suggest that the article might date from the 1980s or perhaps a little later. He has drawn on some primary sources, including the diary of Revd. W.H. Browne, and his article implies that he investigated some aspects, such as evidence of early plans, thoroughly. Materials uncovered more recently might not greatly change the conclusions he came to in this comprehensive article.
The article is not indexed on the website of the Launceston Historical Society.
