Memorial pulpit adjoining nave and chapel.

REV. WILLIAM DRY M.A.
BORN MAY 5TH 1820
DIED JUNE 13TH 1908
Historical Details
William Dry only served at St. John's as locum tenens. He died in 1908. See linked biography. The stone pulpit was given in his memory by his wife. Date is a little uncertain. The pulpit had not been constructed at the time of the dedication of the new extension in 1911. It was most likely carved by Hugh Cunningham, although Gordon Cumming was also broadening his skills in that era.
