Laurence Denham died in 1971, and left his holiday home, Quamby Cottage in Ryans Rd, Spring Beach, to St. John's Church for the use of clergy and parishioners. The first visitor book in this collection goes back further, to 1964, when it was still Denham's property, but already open to friends and clergy. The property was sold in May 2019, and was among many earmarked for the Diocese to meet its redress commitments for victims of abuse.
