Historical Details
Confirmation in the Anglican Church was seen as an adjunct to infant baptism. When children became old enough to understand, and in general in early teenage years, they were given a course of instruction and confirmed, along with other candidates, by the diocesan bishop, or sometimes a coadjutor bishop, in a special service, or incorporated into a regular Sunday service.This particular set is by no means comprehensive.
