Biography
Henry Allingham Jerrim (21 March 1916 – 22 May 2009) was rector of St. John's Launceston from 1961 to 1970. He was married to Prue until her death in 2002. He was born and brought up in Hobart, going on to serve his ministry curacy in the same Holy Trinity parish he had attended as a child.

After serving at Smithton, he was an army chaplain during WWII, returning to serve as priest at Cullenswood, Cygnet, Devonport, Sandy Bay and St. John’s Launceston, where he became Archdeacon of Launceston.

Returning to Hobart in 1970, he served as rector of West Hobart and Archdeacon of Hobart, before becoming assistant bishop in the Diocese of Tasmania in 1974. He served in this role and as Vicar-General until his retirement in 1985, including service as Bishop Administrator after the retirement of Bishop Davies until the appointment of Bishop Philip Newell.

His efforts on the diocesan Social Welfare Committee were instrumental in leading to the foundation of Anglicare Tasmania.
