Kelso Anglican Youth Centre

Biography
Built as a joint venture between the parishes of the Launceston Archdeaconry of the Anglican Church, Kelso Anglican Youth Centre was constructed in the late 1950s, largely by volunteer labour, drawing on skilled workers and older youth from St. John's, Launceston and other parishes.
By February 1960, the building was sufficiently completed to allow a service of dedication and opening for the main block.
Sadly, the enthusiasm of the volunteers dropped away after that, and usage was apparently never sufficient to cover the cost of construction and of running the facility. The linked article covers the period until it was handed over to Launceston Church Grammar School in 1974. It is not know how long the school retained it after that date, but these days, the building is a private residence.
