Historical Details
Parish life and buildings from the 1940s to 1970s - most of which were "Examiner" photographs. Maxwell Mason Easther, 1911-1994, was a stalwart of St. John's Church for decades, serving in numerous roles including warden and vestryman. He was very much involved in the process leading up to the demolition of the old Sunday School to allow the construction of motel units that provided an income stream for the parish, and allowed the construction of the Parish Centre in 1974. He was also very much involved in the negotiations for, and supervision of, the "restoration" of the early 1980s.
