Back of print, alongside remnants of a photo order slip, is marked "The Examiner", Monday July 11, 1960 which suggests the photo was published in the newspaper on that date.

Bishop Blackwood was a former Archdeacon of Hobard, and Bishop of Gippsland from 1942 to 1954. Bishop Ray was Bishop of Lahore among other appointments.
