Some of the thousands of photos and images covering the history of All Saints Anglican Network. We have many more to process and add to this gallery, but would welcome contributions covering aspects of the life of St. John’s and other congregations in the Tamar region.

Dinner to celebrate 170th Anniversary of St. John's Church - 1996. Mrs. Prue Jerrim (in blue - right foreground) was a guest of honour. John Smith was master of ceremonies.
From 1988 to 1994, St. John's was able to provide a focus on university chaplaincy and associated cross-cultural ministry, under chaplains Revd. David Hayman, and from 1991, Revd. Dr. Philip Blake. This is likely an associated event in the Parish Centre.

This photo is a little hard to date. Perhaps about 1990. Sybil Brownrigg is leading or reading. The decorated table at right suggests a special service, perhaps with family focus (children present).

"Thanks be to God". Iced cake close-up.
Revd Henry Hugh Girvan was rector of St. John's Launceston from 1970 to 1974. Few biographical details about him were available at time of writing. Born in 1919, he spent some time after his ordination in Gippsland, then taught at Sydney Grammar School. He later studied at St. Augustine's College, Cambridge. He was precentor at St. Paul's Cathedral, Melbourne from 1954-1957 and again from 1961-1964. In 1964, he was appointed rector of St. Margaret's Church, Mildura. He was married with 3 children by that time.
His death is commemorated in the yearly prayer calendar of St. Paul's Church, Geelong West, and appears to have been 13th May 2002, possibly in that area, although his name also comes up in a similar way at St. George's Anglican Church, East Ivanhoe, for 17th May 2002.
The date of this portrait is unknown. Revd. Alfred Reynolds, who made it, was a locum at St. John's in the 1980s and perhaps served there more than once? His drawing of the church building in the 1980s is also part of this collection.
