Biography

Hubert C Lewis was the great-great-great grandson of the Reverend John Youl, and son of Lady Lina Henrietta Lewis (nee Youl) and Sir Elliot Lewis who served as Premier and Lieutenant Governor of Tasmania. He was a partner of Hobart legal firm Hudspeth, Perkins, Lewis and Dear, and author of a biography of Lewis, Richard (1789–1867), published in Australian Dictionary of Biography. He was born about 1900. Date of death unknown.
