Biography
Stuart Gerald Eardley-Wilmot (1874-1909), known as Gerald, was the son of Stuart Eardley-Wilmot and Rosa Cornelia Johnstone. He was born in Launceston and educated at Geelong Grammar before working in Sydney for some years, returning to Launceston to work for the family firm, Johnstone and Wilmot.
On 7 Jan 1902 at the Holy Trinity Church, Launceston, Gerald married Vera Constance Walker, the younger daughter of Charles Augustus and Catherine Walker. They had one son Stuart, who was born on 4 Aug 1907. 
He was active in rowing and golf, but died young, leaving a young widow and infant son.
