Physical Description

A small plaque on this large and solidly mounted clock reads:

St. John's Mission
Golden Jubilee
1893-1943

While there is no specific reference to the clock in the linked Parish Messenger article, Revd Greenwood gives some details about the occasion of the golden jubilee celebrations, which included services of worship, a dinner and a concert and social.
The Mission House went through some changes from the 1940s, and by the 1950s the original work had ceased. It was not long before the building was sold, becoming an Education Department hostel for some decades.
