Harold Blake Brownrigg - 1936. Framed photo held by St. John's Church. H.B. Brownrigg was a churchwarden and very much involved in church life, including choir and Sunday School. His photos provide a valuable record of church life and buildings in the first half of the 20th century. Son of Canon Marcus Blake Brownrigg, rector of St.John's 1868-1886.
No date was found on the original photograph, despite the full listing of members and clergy.Verrall was curate 1938-1940, so likely 1938 or 1939.

Early 1950s confirmation service - mostly for girls from Broadland House Church of England Girls Grammar School. Date is estimated from the clothing and the 1948 "FX" Holden sedan.
During the 1950s, the school hats were being changed from the wide, floppy-brimmed panama style to a neater, small-brimmed panama with blue under the brim.
CEBS gathering with representatives from various centres, quite possibly a rally held at Launceston over the June long weekend in 1959, during which 70 boys were billeted. Ref. The Tasmanian CEBS Story – The First Fifty Years Hobart 1982 p.30. Rallies and gatherings in that era were centred on the former Beresford House in Pitt Avenue, and excursions included hikes to Trlyn Dam and Mt. Barrow.
